Do You Want to Find Love?
Dr. Vondie shares…
“Don’t Give Up!”
“You Can Find Someone Good to Love”
You Really Want to Find Love
You see people around you in relationships. And you wonder how they found each other. You really want someone special of your own. So, you keep trying. But, it doesn’t seem to work.
Maybe it goes something like this…
He Comes on Really Fast and Runs Away Even Faster?
In the beginning he can’t get enough of you. But once you’re really “in” the relationship, he backs off. He stops being so attentive. And you start to feel confused and insecure. Eventually he loses interest all together. And it’s just a matter of time before he walks out the door. Then you’re left feeling hurt and wondering, “What just happened?”
Or You’re Not Into Him
Sometimes you’re not interested in the guy who’s really into you. It can start out okay. But, then he comes on too strong. Maybe he gets a little clingy. And something inside you shuts down. You just want to get away. After it’s all over, you can’t help but wonder, “What just happened?”
How Do You Find Someone You Really Want?
There are very specific things you can do (and things you should not do!) to find love. It’s important to know where to look, what to do and say, how to take your time, how to spot red flags. That’s how you screen out the players and find someone you really want, who really wants you!
You Deserve the Whole Package!
You don’t have to settle. It’s not asking too much to want a relationship that includes:
fun and laughter
friendship
closeness and comfort
romance and passion
shared values
security and commitment
Isn’t it time to discover how you can have that kind of love?
It also helps to explore:
Male/Female Differences
Men and women really are different, especially when it comes to sex. When women get physical in a relationship, we bond. That’s why it’s really important to go slow and get to know him first.
Personality Differences
The more different you are from someone, the more chemistry you’ll have. The more alike you are, the more compatible you’ll be. The key is to find a balance that works for you.
Family-Of-Origin Relationships
You’ll have the most chemistry with men who fit the hard-wiring in your brain from your family-of-origin relationships. Counseling can help you heal your family issues and be more aware so you don’t repeat your family relationship patterns.
I Couldn’t Figure Out How to Find Love
I grew up in a dysfunctional family. And no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t figure out how to have a good relationship. Without realizing it, I married someone just like my family. It was a short painful marriage that ended in divorce. I knew I still wanted to find love. But I didn’t want to make the same mistake again.
I Reached Out for Help
I got support from a counselor. I attended relationship seminars and groups. I read books. I did whatever I could to figure out how to have a good relationship.
It Worked!
I’m now happily married to someone I really love, who really loves me! We’re there for each other and we take care of each other, through good times and bad. And the best part is — our love just deepens and grows the longer we’re together. And it’s not asking too much for you to find that kind of love, too.
I Love Sharing with You
I’ve been a licensed therapist for over 20 years. And I taught about relationships as a university instructor for 15 years. I love sharing everything I’ve learned with you!
I Know it’s a Big Step to Ask for Help
I give you credit for being willing to reach out and ask for help. I know it isn’t easy. But, I also know it’s worth it to finally make yourself a priority.
