Do You Want Somebody to Love?

Do you ever wonder:

What’s the matter with me?
What am I doing wrong?
Why can’t I find someone I really want, who really wants me?

 I’d like to help

Finding Love isn’t Easy

You see people around you in relationships. And you wonder how they found each other.

You really want someone special of your own. So you keep trying, but it doesn’t really work.

Each time you hope it’ll be different. Maybe this will be “the one.”

Maybe it goes something like this…

It’s exciting in the beginning. He can’t get enough of you. But once you’re really “in” the relationship, he backs off. You start to feel unimportant or ignored. You keep hoping things will go back to how they were. But, the harder you try, the worse things get. After it’s all over, you’re not really sure what happened.  You know you still want love. But, you’re not sure how to find it.

Or maybe it’s hard for you to find someone you really want.  At first things seem good.  You have a lot in common.  You enjoy all the attention.  But then he gets too close, maybe even a little clingy.  You feel overwhelmed and uncomfortable.  It’s just too much.  Something inside you shuts down.  And you just want to get away.  So you end it.  You know you still want love. But, you’re not sure how to find it.

And sometimes you go for the men you don’t even really want.  At least you won’t get hurt.  But, before you know it, you’re attached.  Then you’re in trouble, because this isn’t what you really want.  You know you still want love. But, you’re not sure how to find it.

You really want somebody good to love.  But, sometimes it feels like you’ll never find him.

You Deserve Someone You Really Want, Who Really Wants You!

No relationship’s perfect. But, it’s not asking too much to want a relationship that includes:

  • fun and laughter
  • friendship
  • passion
  • fighting fair and finding compromise
  • safety and security
  • closeness and comfort

Isn’t it time to discover how you can have that kind of love?

Online Counseling can help you explore your relationship patterns and what works in relationships, like:

Family-Of-Origin Relationships
The family you grew up in lays the foundation for your future relationships.  If those relationships weren’t good, it’s much harder to find love.  Online counseling can help you heal those family patterns within yourself.  Then you’re more likely to attract someone who will really love you.

Personality Differences
It’s okay to be different, as long as you respect each others’ differences.  If he doesn’t value you for who you are, that’s a red flag.

Male/Female Differences
Men and women really are different.  When women get physical in a relationship, we bond.  Then we don’t always see potential red flags, because we’re already attached to him.  That’s why it’s important to go slow and really get to know him.  Otherwise, you could end up emotionally committed to someone who isn’t committed to you.

I Learned You Can Find Love

I grew up in a dysfunctional family. And no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t figure out how to have a good relationship.  Without realizing it, I married someone just like my family.  It was a short painful marriage that ended in divorce.

I still wanted someone good to love.  But I didn’t want to make the same mistake again.

I knew I needed help to have the kind of relationship I really wanted.  So I got support from a counselor. I attended relationship seminars and groups.  I read books.  I did whatever I could to figure out how to have a good relationship.

And it worked!  I’m now happily married to someone I really love, who really loves me!

We‘re there for each other and we take care of each other, through good times and bad.  And the best part is — our love just deepens and grows the longer we’re together.

And it’s not asking too much — for you to have that kind of love, too.

I Love Helping You

My life’s work has been to learn and share — how to have a good, loving relationship, the kind we all really deserve.

As a university instructor, I loved helping students explore their own relationship patterns.  As a counselor, I love helping you discover what’s holding you back from finding love.

I know it’s a big step to reach out and ask for help.  I know it means — you’ve been hurt.  I provide online counseling within a safe, supportive, caring environment, so you can feel free to share and get the help you need.

We’ll meet via live video chat.  You can see me and I can see you.   It’s confidential.  And you can attend from the privacy of your own home, wherever you live in California!*
